Ecofys has over 25 years of experience in bottom-up techno-economic analyses, resource analyses, (European) policy design and evaluation, project financing, financial engineering of (sustainable) projects, scenario development and feasibility assessments for a wide range of energy technologies. Examples are assessments on potentials of renewable energy, studies on carbon exposure and financing risks, the potential deployment of CCS and techno-economic related energy studies as on learning rates and future cost developments. Furthermore, Ecofys has some of the leading experts on CCS (with over 20 years of experience in this topic), emissions trading and climate policy.
In addition, Ecofys offers over 150 sustainable energy consultants in 3 European countries, USA and China and has access to a large pool of experts both through its large global network.

Carbon Counts is an independent consultancy specialising in the field of energy and climate change. Its particular focus is on international energy and climate change policy, low carbon technology development and financing mechanisms. It has been in business for two years, being established in October 2008 by Paul Zakkour and Greg Cook, drawing on their combined experience of over 20 years consulting in energy and climate change consulting.
